Accessibility Statement

We are committed to designing our website in a way that enables as many people as possible – regardless of physical or technical limitations – to access our digital content. This is based on the requirements of the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) as well as the international standards of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) at conformance level AA.

Many parts of this website are already designed to be low-barrier. We aim to ensure a clear structure, intuitive navigation, and the use of technical standards that enable access via assistive technologies such as screen readers or alternative input methods.

However, we are aware that not all pages and functions are fully accessible yet. We are continuously working to identify and eliminate existing barriers. Our goal is to provide all users with the most unrestricted access possible to our information and services.

External Content and Third-Party Links

Our website occasionally contains links to external websites or embedded content from third-party providers (e.g., in the “Scientific Publications” section). We have no influence over the accessibility of these external contents, as they are outside our area of responsibility. We make every effort to include only content that is accessible, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party material. If you encounter any barriers in such linked or embedded content, we appreciate your feedback.

Limitations Due to Economic Proportionality

Some barriers on our website currently cannot be eliminated within a reasonable financial scope. These include in particular:

  • Complex interactive features
Certain applications and specific functionalities are highly complex and require significant financial and human resources to make fully accessible. We regularly evaluate options for improvement but cannot remove all existing limitations in the short term.
  • Older content
Content published before the introduction of current accessibility standards may not fully comply with those requirements. A complete retroactive overhaul would incur disproportionate costs. However, we make every effort to ensure that new content meets current accessibility standards.
