Curt-Engelhorn-Zentrum Archäometrie gGmbH is a research institute and service provider in the field of archaeometry. In addition, we offer advanced analytical services for geo-, environmental, and climate research, as well as for the construction and chemical industries. We conduct scientific analyses relating to age determination, authenticity, material identification, provenance, technology, bioarchaeology, and the determination of biogenic carbon in various primary and raw materials.

To strengthen our research laboratories, we are seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician / CTA (m/f/d) on a full-time basis.
Your tasks:
- Preparatory processing of samples of various material types, including for 14C and isotope analysis. This includes, for example, chemical sample preparation, weighing in samples for analysis, and supervising complex technical laboratory equipment such as graphitization systems and elemental analyzers.
- Independent operation, monitoring, and maintenance of technical laboratory equipment
- Performing routine laboratory tasks and supporting analytical procedures
- Opportunity to become familiar with additional areas of laboratory work, e.g. new analytical methods
Your qualifications:
- You have completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, CTA, Biological Laboratory Technician, Physical-Technical Assistant (m/f/d), or have a comparable qualification.
- Career starters are very welcome.
- You have experience in handling laboratory equipment.
- You have knowledge of wet-chemical sample preparation.
- We expect an independent and meticulous working style, as well as strong team orientation.
- You are open to new areas of work and responsibilities and are motivated to familiarize yourself with them.
