IntCal20: Researchers unravel secrets of the past

... with new international standard for carbon dating.

Radiocarbon dating is set to become more accurate than ever after an international team of scientists, including CEZA, improved the technique for determining the age of historical artefacts.

As part of a seven-year project, the researchers have taken measurements from more than 15,000 samples of artefacts up to 60,000 years old.
