Climate reconstruction of the 8.2k event

Climate reconstruction of the 8.2k event - a DFG project at CEZA in co-operation with national partners.

Together with partners from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, the Geo Research Centre Potsdam and the University of Hohenheim, CEZA intends to investigate the climate fluctuations and solar activity at the time of the 8.2k event.

Radiocarbon and stable isotope analyses are carried out on wood from tree rings to reconstruct the climate. This project is funded by the DFG and will start at the end of 2021.
