The term non-ferrous metals is a collective term from materials science under which a part of the so-called non-ferrous metals are summarised. In archaeometallurgy, the term non-ferrous metal is mainly used to describe copper-based materials – i.e. copper and its various alloys (tin bronze, lead bronze, arsenic bronze, brass, red brass and many more).
