The Curt-Engelhorn-Zentrum Archäometrie gGmbH is a research institute and service provider in the field of archaeometry. In addition, we are a provider of modern analytics for geo-, environmental- and climate research as well as the construction and chemical industries. We carry out scientific investigations relating to age determination, authenticity, material identification, origin, technology, bioarchaeology and the determination of biogenic carbon in various products and raw materials.

Your tasks
- Support and cooperation with the laboratory manager of the dating laboratories
- Customer management in the field of 14C dating, in German and English
- 14C data preparation and interpretation
- Application for and supervision of research and third-party funded projects
- Preparation of reports and publications
- Collaboration in the 14C sample preparation laboratories
Your qualifications
- You have a university degree in the natural sciences or humanities or a comparable degree, a doctorate is desirable.
- You have relevant professional experience in the field of 14C dating.
- We expect you to be confident in the use of standard IT applications (MS Office) and business fluent in German and English.
- You have expertise in the field of 14C data evaluation and interpretation.
- Ideally, you will have programming skills and experience in database management.
- Personally, you are characterized by enthusiasm, team orientation and a sense of responsibility.
- We expect an independent way of working (hands-on mentality) as well as scientific work as a matter of course.
