Curt-Engelhorn-Centre of Archaeometry gGmbH is an institute for scientific research that operates nationally and internationally and, at the same time, a service provider in the field of archaeometry. It was founded in 2004 and consists of the laboratory for the material analyses and the Klaus-Tschira-Laboratory for Physical Dating.
Curt-Engelhorn-Centre of Archaeometry gGmbH is a non-profit private limited company, supported by the Curt-Engelhorn-Foundation and the Klaus Tschira Foundation. Furthermore, there is an institutional cooperation with the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg.
Curt-Engelhorn-Centre of Archaeometry gGmbH is to be regarded as a competent contact partner for scientific investigations on cultural assets and contact partner for a large number of research projects as well as service provider for public institutions, companies and private individuals. The offering includes scientific investigations in the field of authenticity, material determination of origin, technology, bioarchaeology and age assessment.
